Make a good weekend together

You bring the spark.
We’ll gather the people.

The Offbeat Weekends is a Bangalore community for trying things, finding new corners of the city and meeting people along the way. If you have a skill to share, a space to open, a group to bring together or a slightly unusual idea, there may be a weekend in it.

Tell us your idea

Different ways to join in

Bring what you do best.

  • Run a weekend

You have an idea we would not have thought of — a night walk, a supper club, a repair café — and you want to make it happen with us.

  • Teach something

Pottery, film photography, chess, bread, birdwatching. If you can hold a small room for two hours, that is a weekend.

  • Sponsor one

You are a local brand that fits the room — useful, not shouty — and want to cover a weekend, the chai, or the supplies.

  • Lend us a space

A terrace, a studio, a café back-room, a farm, or some odd little place a dozen of us could use for an afternoon.

  • Perform

You sing, tell stories, do comedy, play something, or do a thing nobody has a name for yet.

  • Bring your people

You run a group, a hostel, a college club or a society, and you want your crowd in the room.

From idea to afternoon

How we collaborate

  1. Step 1

Tell us what you have in mind

A rough idea is enough. Share what you would like to host, who it is for and anything you already have figured out.

  2. Step 2

    Shape the plan together

We will work through the format, date, group size, practical details and cost so the plan stays welcoming and doable.

  3. Step 3

    Make a weekend of it

We help bring the right people into the room, make the details clear and host the day together. Small, thoughtful plans are our sweet spot.

Small by design

The best fit is human-sized.

Our weekends are friendly, hands-on and accessible to people who are new to the activity. You do not need a polished pitch or a huge following. A clear idea, care for the people coming, and a willingness to plan the details with us is a good start.

  • A hands-on activity people can try without prior experience.
  • A local space, place or route that feels personal and worth sharing.
  • A community or audience that would enjoy meeting people beyond its usual circle.
  • A brand that wants to support a real gathering without turning it into an advert.

No deck required

Start with a conversation.

Tell us what you are imagining, what you can bring and what would make it worthwhile for you. We can figure out together whether it is a shared-hosted session, a venue partnership, a sponsored gathering or simply an idea for another time.

Helpful to include

  • What you would like to do together
  • Who it is for and an approximate group size
  • Your location, dates or any practical constraints
