The Story

We leave Bangalore late on Saturday night, drive past the last of the city lights, and start the climb in the dark so we are on the ridge when the sun comes up. It is a steady two-hour climb on a marked trail — slow, unhurried, with plenty of breaks for the people at the back. We are back in the city by mid-morning on Sunday, which means the rest of your weekend is still yours.

What you'll do

Meet at the pickup point late on Saturday night, drive out of the city, and start the climb in the early hours so we reach the top before first light. Watch the sun come up over the ridge, walk back down at an easy pace, and stop for breakfast on the way home.

Who it's for

Anyone who can walk uphill for about two hours with breaks. No trekking experience needed — this is a steady climb, not a race. Most people come alone.

What to bring

Your own bike or a rented one — we do not provide or arrange bikes — plus an ISI/DOT helmet, a valid licence, shoes with grip, a light jacket, a litre of water, a torch or a charged phone light, and something small to eat at the top.

Questions & Answers

Common things people ask

How hard is the climb?

Moderate. About two hours of steady uphill walking with plenty of breaks. If you can manage a long flight of stairs without stopping, you will be comfortable.

What time do we get back?

We aim to be back in Bangalore by 10 am on Sunday, so the rest of your day is free.

What if the weather turns?

Light rain is fine and makes the trail better. If it is unsafe we reschedule, and everyone hears about it in the group the night before.
