About
Bangalore is full of good spots.
Almost nobody goes to them.
That is the whole reason this exists. There is a lake an hour away, a pottery studio behind a residential block, a park that is genuinely lovely at 7pm, a terrace where a dozen people could sit and actually talk. Everyone vaguely knows these places exist. Nobody goes.
Meanwhile, everyone we knew was saying the same thing — they wanted to meet new people, make actual friends, do something with their weekend that was not brunch and scrolling. But where do you even start? Meetups feel like networking. Clubs feel like commitment. Most event listings cost more than a nice dinner, and you show up not knowing a single person.
So we started doing it ourselves. One small thing at a time, with people we liked, at prices that are not a decision. A storytelling night in a park. A drive out to a lake. Pottery where nobody was good at pottery. Some of it was a bit chaotic, and the chaos turned out to be the fun part.
That is why the weekends do not look alike. If we only did one kind of thing, only one kind of person would show up. No fixed vibe means everybody fits somewhere.
And it stays affordable on purpose. These are weekends, not experiences. You should be able to say yes without checking your bank balance first.
How a weekend actually goes
There is no membership and nothing to prepare. Three steps, and only the first one needs you to do anything.
- 1
Pick a weekend
Scroll what is on, find the one that sounds least like your usual Saturday, and sign up. Free ones are one form and you are in.
- 2
Turn up alone
Most people do. No plus-one required, no skill required, no personality required. Come as you are, even if that is slightly awkward.
- 3
Leave with people
Two hours in, the group chat gets a few new members. That is the whole point of this thing.
The practical bits
- Getting there. Bikes and transport are on you — bring your own, or rent one yourself. We do not provide or arrange bikes.
- Where the plan lives. Once you are confirmed you land in that weekend’s WhatsApp group. The exact meeting point and any last-minute change are posted there, so keep the number you register with on WhatsApp.
- Show up as you are. There is no dress code, no skill level and no one taking attendance. If you can walk uphill, hold a paintbrush or sit on the grass, you are qualified.
If any of this sounds like you
You are probably exactly the right amount of new here. Nobody arrives knowing everyone.
- You moved to Bangalore and your weekends are a blank calendar.
- You keep saying you will take up something creative, eventually.
- You want to do something that is not another cafe and another brunch.
- You are slightly out of practice at meeting new people.
- You just want one plan that is already made for you.
The two people behind it
It is still just us — planning things we would want to do anyway, then inviting whoever shows up.

@groovewithvishakhaThe reason a room full of strangers is laughing twenty minutes in. Also the reason there is dancing.
No fixed vibe. Just good weekends.
Affordable, a little weird, and open to anyone who is free.
Come to one thing
Come to one thing.
Bring a friend, or do not. Either way you will not be the only person who did not know anyone.
