Forest booking and closures: check before riding

Karnataka Forest Department booking is required for listed forest treks. Check the official Aranya Vihaara calendar for Savandurga availability and closures; do not assume walk-in access. Current portal rules (from 15 July 2026): book 1–30 days ahead, report at least 10 minutes before your slot, and bring the original ID used to book. Cancellation refunds are limited, so read the portal terms before paying.
