Ride plan

How to get there

Ride south via Kanakapura Road (NH 948) to Sangama. The final Mekedatu section has historically used an official shuttle; confirm current access before planning it.

Ride time is an estimate from central Bengaluru. Check live traffic, road closures, fuel stops and two-wheeler restrictions before departure.

Entry, permits & hours

Onward access and river entry change with conditions

The district tourism page describes Mekedatu a few kilometres beyond Sangama. Vehicle access and shuttle arrangements may change, and flood closures are possible. Check with local administration on the day; never assume river crossing, coracle rides or swimming are available.
